1. ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS
These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your use of the romaniangcse.co.uk website (the “Site”), operated on behalf of the Romanian GCSE Campaign (the “Campaign”) by Beyond Romania CIC, a community interest company limited by guarantee, registered in England & Wales under company number 17220189, with its registered office at 85 Overbury Crescent, New Addington, Croydon, CR0 0LS (the “Company”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing or using this Site, submitting a form, signing the petition, volunteering, or making a donation, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use this Site.
2. ABOUT US
The Romanian GCSE Campaign is a volunteer-led community initiative campaigning for the introduction of an optional Romanian GCSE in the UK education system. The Site is run on behalf of the Campaign by Beyond Romania CIC. Beyond Romania CIC is a Community Interest Company, not a registered charity, and does not offer regulated financial, legal, or educational advice. You can contact us at hello@romaniangcse.co.uk.
3. USE OF THIS WEBSITE
You may use this Site for lawful purposes only, including to learn about the Campaign, sign the petition, enrol a child’s interest, volunteer, contact us, or make a donation. You agree not to:
- Use the Site in any way that breaches applicable local, national or international law or regulation;
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, the server on which it is hosted, or any connected database;
- Introduce viruses, malware, or other harmful material to the Site;
- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information through any form on the Site (including the enrolment, volunteering, or contact forms).
We may suspend or restrict access to the Site, at our discretion, for any visitor who breaches these Terms.
4. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
Unless otherwise stated, the Campaign and/or its licensors own the intellectual property rights in the Site and in the material published on it, including the Romanian GCSE Campaign name and logo, text, graphics, and design. These works are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may view, download, and print pages from the Site for your own personal, non-commercial use (for example, to help share or support the Campaign), and you may not otherwise reproduce, republish, or redistribute material from this Site without our prior written consent.
5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES & LINKS
This Site links to, or embeds, a number of third-party services that we do not control and are not responsible for, including:
- Jotform, which hosts our “Enrol Your Children” and volunteering forms;
- The Romanian GCSE petition, hosted on gareththomas.org.uk;
- Our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and X); and
- Payment and banking providers referenced on our donation pages.
Your use of these third-party services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies, and we recommend you review these before submitting any information. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site or service linked from this Site.
6. DONATIONS
Donations made via our “Donate Via Transfer” or “Donate Via Card” pages are given voluntarily to support the running costs of the Campaign. By donating, you confirm that the funds are your own and that you are not violating the rights of any third party. As Beyond Romania CIC is a Community Interest Company and not a registered charity, we are unable to claim Gift Aid on any donation. Refunds, monthly donations and the donations we may refuse are explained in our Donations Policy.
7. CHILDREN’S INFORMATION
Our “Enrol Your Children” form is intended to be completed by a parent or legal guardian on behalf of a child, in order to register interest in the Campaign. We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children without parental involvement. Details of how any personal data (including data relating to a child) is collected, used, and protected are set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
8. NO PROFESSIONAL ADVICE
Content on this Site (including information about the GCSE curriculum, exam boards, and the campaign’s progress) is provided for general information purposes only. It does not constitute legal, financial, educational, or immigration advice, and should not be relied upon as such. We do not guarantee that a Romanian GCSE will be introduced, or the timescale in which this may happen.
9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Campaign and Beyond Romania CIC exclude all liability for loss or damage arising from your use of (or inability to use) this Site, or from your reliance on any information on it, including loss or damage caused by viruses, technical failure, or the acts of third-party services linked from the Site. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. GOVERNING LAW & JURISDICTION
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of, or in connection with, these Terms or your use of the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
11. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the law or how the Campaign operates. The “Last Revised” date at the top of this page shows when these Terms were last updated. We encourage you to review this page periodically. If these Terms are translated and there is any difference between the versions, the English version applies.
